WHO IS

Born and raised in the Norwood section of the Bronx, Carys “Cabø” Dixon is nurtured by the sounds that surround her. Growing up, Carys knew her passion for music was unordinary. Learning piano at the age of three skyrocketed her musical abilities as an instrumentalist, which led her to later pursue guitar, bass, and the drums.

In 2017, Carys decided to shift gears and focus more on the music production scene. With influences from various creatives, such as The Internet, KAYTRANADA, Tyler, The Creator, and PARTYNEXTDOOR, to name a few, Cabø began creating her own sound that merges R&B, Alternative, Rock, Hip-Hop, Funk and Soul.

Carys released her first song, Rushed (featuring Miles Ramone) to Soundcloud users in 2018, and first EP, known as Wilde Growth in 2019. The 7 song project idolized the vocals of Miles

Ramone, RUNITUPDAY!, Sylvah, Faith Lee, and Qayla. Carys has remained focused and continues to collaborate with the many talents of ULTRA NOSTRA Records and other independent artists.

Since, Cabø has released two collaborative projects with RUNITUPDAY! Seclusion and Algo Maior both break the boundaries Hip-Hop sets on young, upcoming, female producers; Carys makes it a point to release her production as a main artist, to further defy industry norms & create an everlasting impact in the music producer scene.
